WILD SPACES RETREAT

DANCING IN THE REDWOODS WITH GUEST ARTISTS AMELIA RUDOLPH AND RACHAEL LINCOLN

Join renowned aerial dance pioneers Amelia Rudolph and Rachael Lincoln for an immersive Vertical Dance Retreat set in the breathtaking redwood forest. Step away from the everyday and into the stillness of the trees for a rejuvenating weekend of vertical dance on the Mendocino Coast. Amelia and Rachael, whose combined vertical dance experience spans over fifty years, will offer clear structures and technical skill-building to support each participant's growth and confidence in and out of the harness. This workshop offers a gentle, exploratory approach to vertical dance, blending movement and creative expression while deepening our connection to the natural world. Together, we’ll slow down, move mindfully, and discover new ways to engage with both our bodies and the landscape. Some climbing or dance experience recommended.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3 - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5 IN MENDOCINO, CA

A Return to Movement

With the support of the Upstate California Creative Corps, Kara Starkweather, Lauren Godla, and Jessica Swanson created a beautiful vertical dance film over the waters of the Klamath River in the spring of 2024. The short film celebrates the largest dam removal project in history and the renewal of the Klamath River. A Return to Movement is making its way around various film festivals throughout the country. Thank you to Jessica Slayton for creating this beautiful logo.
