OUR PROGRAMS
Parkinson’s Dance Classes
classes begin October 23
Thursdays, 10am-11am @ Redwood studio (305 east redwood ave. fort bragg, Ca)
The essence of dance is joy. In addition to all of the physical benefits, dance builds community. It brings people together, provides a space to connect, and offers healthy and fun ways to build strength, coordination, balance, and stability all while using creativity and imagery to inspire movement. Our programming has been made possible in part by The Community Foundation of Mendocino County’s 2025 Fund for Healthy and Inclusive Communities, a Dance for PD Launch Grant, a funding initiative of the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Dance for PD® program, Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District’s District Services Grant, and generous donors. Classes are offered at no cost. Please contact us if you are interested in joining our classes or click the button below to make a donation specific to this program.

Vertical Dance Workshops
Mendocino Dance Project offers classes and workshops in contemporary dance on the ground and vertical dance in the redwoods. We offer an opportunity to explore creative self-expression and authentic connection through the art of movement and dance.
Enlivening a weekend retreat, collective gathering, or team building session, our dance workshops promote unity, wellness, and inspiration for all participants.
Please contact the company to book a private class or sign up for one of our current offerings.
Creative Movement in Schools
Mendocino Dance Project has been offering creative movement and dance in our local schools since 2015. We are currently providing dance education at Mendocino K8, Redwood Elementary School, and Anderson Valley Elementary School.
The essence of dance is joy and we love sharing our love of movement and the human body with students of all ages. Dance is a great means to strengthen the mind and body connection. Students develop a strong sense of confidence, spatial and social awareness, balance, creativity, and coordination. It seems that all students, however diverse, can relate to dance and movement and find a new voice in this unusual and active classroom environment. Please contact us about bringing dance to your school.
Vertical Dance Summer Camp
We had a great week of camp exploring the forest, dancing in trees and watching local youth soar in the redwoods this summer. Family and friends gathered for a final performance where campers showcased their creativity and skill. Many thanks to the Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund for supporting our local youth. We look forward to camp next year!
